About Me

A graduate of Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design, Anna Boulter is a Bristol based photographer and artist with a particular interest in people and portraiture.

"My desire is to create unique and natural work that reflects not just what a person looks like but something of who the person is. I always like to take time gaining an understanding of who I am working with before picking up my camera in order to truly reflect their character and wishes.

I particularly enjoy photographing weddings firstly because I regard it as a privilege to be invited into the heart of such an important day in two people’s lives and secondly because they are simply wonderful occasions with such rich fare to capture! My favourite part of the day is always taking the couple off quietly on their own for that all important portrait. There is something very precious, almost sacred about that time that always produces the best pictures of the day. It is, in essence, what the day is all about.

I also like to take my photographic portraiture one step further and incorporate it into a unique art work. This way I am able to express even further the unique character of my subject. Please see ‘Portraits with a Difference’ for examples of this work.
